WHO WE ARE

Our
Mission

H.E.L.P., Inc., Banning's local food pantry provides supplemental food to needy families living in the communities between Calimesa and Cabazon. Since 1982, this nonprofit offers a shopping basket of food to qualifying families once a month. H.E.L.P., Inc. continues to be a safety net for its qualifying clients. Additionally, H.E.L.P., Inc. provides weekly food bags to those homeless who are registered. The nonprofit also operates a thrift store with beautiful gently used clothing and small household items. Clothing items that do not make it onto the floor for selling go to the area designated as the "free closet" and are offered to the clients.

H.E.L.P., Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation and an equal opportunity provider.

The H.E.L.P., Inc. Food Pantry was originally founded in 1981 by Father John Domas who saw the need to assist low income individuals and families residing in the San Gorgonio Pass area. From a small drop-in center in Beaumont, H.E.L.P., Inc. enlarged its services by purchasing the current building in Banning to include a food pantry warehouse, reception/intake area and thrift store all with ample parking.
